Accessing Family Court during COVID-19
The COVID-19 global pandemic has changed procedures for the Domestic Relations Court in Philadelphia.
The Court issued these orders about pandemic procedures dated March 27, 2020 and May 15, 2020.
Accessing the Court
The Family Court building at 1501 Arch Street is generally closed to the public and permits the public to access the building in very limited cases. Court hearings are virtual, which means they are happening by video or telephone.
The Court will mail notices of hearings or filings to your last address on file with the Court, and the Court will email you information for how to use RingCentral (or other platform) for the hearing. You have to update the Court with your current mailing address and email address.
You can update the Court by:
- Emailing firstname.lastname@example.org the information to be updated, along with your case ID (PACSES or Custody Docket Number) or social security number and a copy of your photo ID (just a picture from your phone works) for verification, or
- Calling 215-686-7466 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday (except holidays)
